Catching the Days – Updated
After 2weeks of training, the day has come! My first day for my new support, IOGEAR devices.
First day was unforgettable or should I say terrible? I was sick. I had fever due to tonsilitis, which I believed because of the two-choloate-bar that Sir Clyde gave to me. tsk! tsk! tsk! I feel so uneasy the whole night. But I don’t want to be absent especially that’s my first day.
TERRIBLE indeed..
During that day, we were only 3 on duty. One started at 6pm shift, ME started at 9pm and other one started at 3am, no Team Captain and no Trainer. Papawisan katalaga on the middle of the night!
First call troubleshooting MultiFunction Print Server, which I’m not familiar! WTF! Of all the devices pa, bakit ito?! Natawa tuloy ako! As I recalled, I even forgot to ask the printer brand and OS of the computer on the first part of the call.
Not to mention also, first time to talk to my supervisor in Manila! Sila lang naman ang may duty na supervisor. Walang choice! But eventually, I was still positive for the whole shift! Just to make me feel better. Thank you guys for the encouragement. That was a head cracking day!
Second day went pretty well. I’m back with my senses. I was more relax in taking in calls and more comfortable at this time. But I cannot deny that there were some instances that I felt like a stranger on this place. My team was composed of 11 agents – 1 Team Captain, 1 Trainer and 1 QA Specialist: three ladies and the rest were men. And during my shift, I’m the only lady on boared. Pressure ba etoh!? I cannot deny it -I’m one of the boys!
I miss my old team, Tampa Bay – Buccaneers, my first and last team since i was deployed. I love them! I admit that Linksys support was my first love. I just love troubleshooting! But I have open a new door with another opportunity. I have to be positive! I’m loving IOGEAR! yeah, I love the color green, that’s their color! Just I changed my lanyard ID to green already say goodbye to blue, goodbye Linksys!
I’m ready for the challenge. As mentioned, we were the chosen one!
